       Federal university Dutse nicknamed FUD, is a federal government university located in Dutse, the capital of Jigawa state in the Nigerian northern region.

FUD offer degree programs in Sciences, medical sciences, agriculture, arts and social sciences. Federal university Dutse offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

The university was established in 2011 and also received its charter along with other newly established federal universities from FGN on 9thn February 2011.

The pioneer V.C is Prof. Jibirillu Dahiru Aminu (OFR) with a pioneer student body of 265. Its faculties of engineering and law are underway. FUD held its 1^st convocation ceremony on January 16^th, 2016.
