JAMB CUT-OFF MARK FOR YEAR 2019 NOT
YET OUT!
The Joint Admission And Matriculation
Board has warned candidates of the recently concluded UTME exam that the board
had not publish cut-off mark for 2019 session.
This came from the board’s Head, Media & Information, Fabian
Benjamin while speaking to journalists in Lagos yesterday.
According to Dr Fabian, the public
and candidates should disregard the rumors being peddled by fraudulent elements
about the board releasing any cut-off mark yet for placements into tertiary
institutions in the country.
Dr Benjamin Fabian said;
“we want to seize this opportunity to
caution the public especially candidates not to allow themselves to be swindled
by these individuals that are peddling this rumor.
“The cut-off mark can’t be decided
upon without the input of critical stakeholders of the education sector at an
elaborate policy meeting
“The cut-off marks are the minimum
expectation for every institution and that does not mean an automatic placement
into schools of first choice.
He therefore appealed to the general public that the board will continue
to provide information on its processes and activities at every stage.
It was also learnt that the arrangements have been
concluded for a policy meeting to determine the JAMB cut-off mark on Tuesday 11th
June, 2019 at Gbogan in Osun state which will have in attendance, officials of
the ministry of education and other key stakeholders.
