Candidates who might still be wondering whether the 2019 UTME change of course/institution form is out, is hereby, informed that the JAMB board has activated their portal for change of course/institution under registration (2019)

WHY JAMB CHANGE OF COURSE/INSTITUTION?

  After the release of JAMB results every year, some candidates are normally faced with the issue of which university or course to change to. This might be as a result of low UTME score, unexpected high UTME score, catchment area, tuition fees and other factors.

  Candidates may decide to switch to a low competitive school owing to low UTME score.

 Some candidates who might have used some of their period to research in-depth about their applied schools and other schools elsewhere, may find a reason to apply for a change of course/institution.

 One might find a particular course very lucrative and satisfies his/her yearning for education, and eventually, make a move to the particular department offering the course within the same institution applied for or elsewhere.

 Some may be as a result of accreditation issues associated with some professional courses, hence, candidates will go for the recognized and accredited institution offering her intended program e.g. Law, chemical engineering, Medicine, nursing, computer science etc.

·       Candidate who may be disadvantaged by catchment area policy might utilize the opportunity to apply for institutions within his/her catchment area

·       Candidates with mediocre and or low UTME scores can change to low competitive schools or schools where there are high chances of getting admitted,

·       Candidates who may not be financially buoyant is granted the opportunity to choose free or less tuition fees institutions,

·       Candidates who don’t want to handle relocation issues may decide to stay with their spouse, family or relations by applying to proximate universities,

·       Candidates may perceive some regions as crises/violence prone areas and thus, discouraged from applying to universities located in such areas

·       Candidates have the opportunity to apply to accredited and good schools for their intended programs.

HOW TO DO THE JAMB 2019 CHANGE OF COURSE/INSTITUTION

Note: The change of course/institution comes with a fixed fee of #2,500 from JAMB only. Bank and cyber charges may apply. Each separate change/corrections will cost you the same amount.

 You are however, advised to handle these transactions carefully and make good decisions to avoid circumstances which can mar your admission. You must apply for courses according to your UTME subject combination.

STEPS;

1.   Visit the JAMB site via the link https://www.jamb.org.ng/efacility./Login

2.   Log in by entering your email and password

3.   On the left side of your profile page, click on registration (2019 only)

4.   Click on UTME 2019 data correction

5.   Click on make new payment

6.   Choose your payment method

7.   After the payment had been made successfully, you have to visit any of the JAMB office close to you or an accredited CBT center to complete the process.
