JAMB UPDATES
The Joint Admissions And Matriculation Board had refuted the malicious claims by some set of individuals that their server had crashed. The body thus, distanced itself from the report urging students to prepare for a re-sit.
JAMB went further to advise students and the general public, that they should not entertain any fear or worry, quoting that the results of the candidates are still intact and will be released soon.
These are speculations by some individuals in some quarters, associating the delay in UTME results to the untrue crashing of JAMB’s servers. Dr Fabian Benjamin disclosed to the public in an interview with the News Agency Of Nigeria (NAN), on Wednesday at Lagos.
After the exam, the board embarked on a screening to determine any form of exam malpractice and infractions by both candidates and exam centers, which is what had been delaying the release of the results, said the Jamb’s head, media and information.
He also intimated the public that the board had almost completed screening process and would soon release the results of candidates. He also stressed that all their actions is in line to fish out and punish those found wanting in the just concluded UTME examination and ensure the innocent ones are not punished.
He therefore, urged Nigerians to believe in the board’s ability to rid the JAMB exam of malpractice and fraudsters, adding that all their steps so far, was for the interest of all Nigerians.
Dr Benjamin also made the public know about the conviction of some JAMB fraud suspects in Kebbi, thanking the Judiciary for doing a good job.
Finally, he therefore, urged candidates to be calm and wait for their results to be released soon, as the results would be released within the week and not as earlier thought [29th April]
