CANDIDATES REACT TO THE DELAY IN RELEASE OF JAMB UTME RESULTS

Trending on the social media is the plea of JAMB candidates and other concerned Nigerians especially parents for the examination board to start releasing the results in batches for JAMB candidates for this year already concluded UTME exam.

  It’s almost more than half a month after the year’s UTME exam was concluded(precisely 18 days), still students are yet to see their result notifications.

 Some of them have taken to the social media to express their worries and anxieties, urging the board to start releasing their results.

  Some candidates at Bwari yesterday, spoke to the News Agency Of Nigeria (NANS) on the matter.

A candidate by name Madueke John said that the long wait for the JAMB result has created unease for some of the candidates, saying though he didn’t do anything that will incriminate him during the exam exercise, but the entire process has changed. He added that JAMB should during the course of their screening release the results of those found innocent.

Henrietta Adams another candidate who voiced out her own opinions,  said that the body is undoubtedly doing what’s best for the nation. She also said, it would be appreciated if the board release some of the results, saying the long wait has generated tension among some candidates.

   She further added that, “ even if you are sure you did not commit any malpractice during the exam, with the way the entire process is moving on, you may be forced to start thinking, if one’s result will be held for mere turning of head during the examination. We will continue to wait but JAMB, do something soonest” she concluded.

  A candidate’s parent by name Mr Joseph Onimisi took a rigid stand, by commending the body for exposing some of the corruption in the system, while also advising that parts of the result be released too, to reduce the criticism of the board by those skeptical of their intentions.
